Trymore Sengai was born on 17th April 1992 in Zimbabwe and attended Mavhudzi High School in Nyazura, in the east of the country.
He began his interest as young as eight years of age, working on stones rejected by other carvers at the Newlands Road market, Harare.
To develop his career, he completed a two year course at the School of Visual Art and Design in Harare where his instructors included Julius Mushambadope, Doris Kamupira and Victor Nyakauru. He was awarded a Certificate of Competence and a Certificate of Achievement at the end of this course.
He was featured in the group exhibitions of SVAD students both in 2012 and 2013 and is currently working as an artist in residence at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Harare.
